The University of Thessaly provides all its members with the statistical processing program IBM SPSS Statistics version 29.

ACCESS
To install the SPSS software you should:

  • Have an institutional account at the University of Thessaly
  • The computer on which you will install and operate the software must be connected to the University's data network, either physically, i.e. to one of the facilities of P.Th. either via VPN. To connect via VPN you will find instructions on our page https://it.uth.gr/services/eikoniko -idiotiko-diktyo-vpn

INSTALLATION
Versions of IBM SPSS Statistics v29 software are available for Windows and MacOS operating systems. Save the file you need according to your computer's operating system from https://downloads.uth.gr/spss/ . You will be prompted to sign in with your Institutional account details.
Windows users download and install SPSSSC_64b_29.0 strong>MW_ML.exe”.
MacOS users download and install the file “SPSSSC_29.0.0.0_Mac.pkg”.
 
Installation on Windows
Start the installation and follow the steps. Upon completion in the “Activate IBM SPSS Statistics” window select “Launch License Wizard”

the IBM SPSS Statistics Licensing window will appear.
 
In the next window select “Concurrent user licence” and press  “Next”

In the "License Manager name or Server IP Address" field, fill in the name of the license server of the University of Thessaly spss-lic.uth.gr and press Next.

In the next window, press Finish to complete the process.

Operating SystemsMacOS
The procedure is similar to the one above.
In the product activation phase select “Concurrent user licence”.
In the "License Manager name or Server IP Address" field, fill in the name of the license server of the University of Thessaly spss-lic.uth.gr and press Next.
